TOP wrestling commentator Michael Cole has apologised after making a homophobic slur about fellow WWE announcer Josh Mathews on Twitter. Cole — who will be working his first match ever at WrestleMania against Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler — called Mathews a ‘faggot’ in a tweet that was seen by thousands of his followers on Twitter. The offensive message was deleted and shortly afterwards Cole tweeted: “I apologize to any and all who were offended by my tweet toward young Josh Mathews. It was obviously not meant the way it was taken.”
