Police Investigating Slaying of Black Gay Pride Organizer

Atlanta police don’t know if the organizer of the city’s annual Black Gay Pride celebration was shot dead because he was a homosexual or for other reasons, APD spokesman Carlos Campos said Thursday. “The Atlanta Police Department is exploring all possibilities with regards to the homicide of Durand Robinson,” Campos told the AJC on Thursday. Robinson, co-owner of the popular gay DeKalb County nightclub Traxx, was found dead in the middle of Hadlock Street in southwest Atlanta early Wednesday, shot in the chest.
