Parks Ranger Claims Sexist Harassment
SACRAMENTO, Dec. 18 (UPI)
A California state parks ranger has sued the Parks Department, claiming that her colleagues used sex toys and women’s lingerie to harass her.
Jennifer Donovan says she was harassed because she is a woman and because she is a lesbian, The Orange County Register reported. She also claims she was denied promotions.
Donovan worked as a police officer at the state beaches at San Onofre and San Clemente.
“We think it’s unfortunate that peace officers who are the ones who are supposed to enforce the laws are the ones who are obviously violating them,” her lawyer, Wendy Musell, reported.
The lawsuit also claims that Donovan’s co-workers used state computers to store obscene and sometimes racist material.
Donovan says that she found sex toys in investigation material and women’s lingerie draped over lockers.
A parks spokesman said officials were reviewing the suit and would have no comment now.

I am gay. I am a State Park Ranger. I have worked with Jenny Donovan. She is barely competent as a peace officer, is lazy, and is bent on self-promotion. Is the world of cops inwardly insensitive – you bet it is, it’s how we survive the daily brutality we see, by making light of everyone and everything – it’s survival and it exists for every cop in the world. Donovan’s issues have to do with her own weaknesses. She is not respected in the department, and that’s all about her job performance – nobody cares that she’s gay.

I know Jen, she is nice, sweet and never once have I witnessed anything remotely close to lazy (I’m talking about 10 – 20 mile hikes carrying 20 – 40 pounds of gear….not riding around in a patrol car?). Seems obvious to me “Gay Ranger” must has an agenda! Doubt you are gay, but definitely a heterosexual male!

Although I never met Jennifer Donovan, I know of the Park Rangers mentioned in her lawsuit. Those Rangers were out of control. They would harrass people visiting the parks on a daily basis, and patroled the campgrounds as if they were a prison. They harrassed and intimidated people every day (kicking over park visitor’s ice chests, entering motorhomes to search, writing nusiance tickets, etc.). I also heard that they choked out a man in front of his family one night because the man was trying to put a stop to these very issues. He was hospitalized for several days.
