Gay Men Earn Less than Heterosexuals
NEW YORK, USA
A new study finds that gay male couples earn almost 25% less in some jobs than their married male counterparts. The study, based on 2004 U.S. census data of heterosexual and homosexual couples, found the largest disparity in management and blue-collar jobs in traditionally heterosexual mail dominated professions. Surprisingly, the study found no difference between lesbians and heterosexual couples. In fact, researchers suggest lesbians may actually benefit from stereotypes that they are more ‘career-focused’ and less like to have children than their heterosexual counterparts. The study was conducted by researchers at the University of New Hampshire (UNH) Whittemore School of Business and Economics.

I am very surprised to hear this - I figured just as the lesbians would be the same for gay men and that many are career focused and do not wish to have a family.
