Gay Mass. High Court Pick Faces Confirmation Hearing
A confirmation hearing is under way for Gov. Deval Patrick’s latest nominee to the state’s highest court. Appeals Court Judge Barbara Lenk would be the first openly gay justice on the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. SJC Chief Justice Roderick Ireland opened today’s hearing by urging the eight-member Governor’s Council to approve Lenk. Ireland said he has known Lenk for 16 years. He said she is intelligent, conscientious and has balanced judgment. He also called her a consensus-builder, and a “nice human being.”

teh only place gays are going to win is in the courts. the hate groups – like FRC, filled with self loathing gays like spriggs, and of course Reker, have too much power.
Americans should be ashaamed of this country. So far behind western Europe where only Italy and Greece do not have Marriage or CUs, about half each way.
And any day now, England, Scotland, and prob Ireland are going to change to marriage, its happening right now in Finland, where a chruch ass made a bad comment about gays, and in one day 30000 people disavowed their membership in the church, which is btw actually fairly liberal there, and extremely progressive in the rest of Scandanavia.
Of course, religion is fortunately all but dead in Europe. the Godfather of Pedophilia, RATZI must be having a fit. To hell with him and his church.
