Fox News Refuses to Air Anti-DADT Ad
Fox News has turned down an advertisement in support of repealing “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” citing concerns about the ad’s factualness. The ad features generals from allied military forces saying that gay troops do not undermine combat effectiveness. “The ad was misleading based on its presumption,” said Dianne Brandi, executive vice president of legal and business affairs for Fox News. Christopher Neff, deputy executive director of the Palm Center, which placed the ad, said Tuesday the organization “stands by the accuracy of the ad.”
