A Florida policeman, fired for not divulging he once appeared in a gay pornography film, can keep his police certification, officials say. Mike Verdugo was fired from the Hollywood Police Department last year because he didn’t list the 1996 gay skin flick on his resume as prior employment, the Miami Herald said Friday. But the Florida Department of Law Enforcement voted unanimously to let Verdugo keep his certification. The panel said Verdugo must serve a one-year probation and take an ethics class.
