Marriage is still a real battle, but interesting how so much of the christian community is beginning to treat gay people with rsspect, and recognize that discrimination against them is totally against Jesus 2nd of two commandments - "Love thy neighbor as thyself."

Maybe the conservative christian community is beginning to realize what part of the community have been - hate filled bigots. For it was these communities that replaced segregation with slavery.

And now we have a Black President.

Congratulations to all the good conservative christians who are beginning to be true to Jesus teachings.

And these sort of things are happening all over. For example the very conservative Mormon church in Salt Lake City supported and caused to pass a no discrimination in Jobs and housing for gay/trans people. One of their leading elders aaid that "gay people are also valued parts of our community, and should not be discriminated against in housing and employment.
